2,500 Tons Of Bulk Cooking Oil HET IDR 14 Thousand/liter Arrives In Mataram
JAKARTA - The Trade Office of Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara, reported that 2,500 tons of bulk cooking oil with the highest retail price (HET) of Rp. 14,000 per liter had arrived at a number of distributors in Mataram.
They said, bulk cooking oil could be used as an alternative for people to fulfill their daily needs.
"The distribution of bulk cooking oil is to meet people's needs during fasting and Eid 1443 Hijri," said Head of the Mataram City Trade Office, Uun Pujianto, Saturday, March 19, as reported by Antara.
Even though it's a lot, the 2,500 tons of bulk cooking oil that arrived today is still less than the previously promised quota. Mataram is promised 3,000 tons to meet consumer needs in the next two months.
"We don't know the exact reason, but we hope that the existing quota of 2,500 tons can optimally meet the needs of the community," he said.
Uun said, the HET of bulk cooking oil on the market has now been set at Rp. 14,000 per liter. This is in line with the revocation of the packaged cooking oil subsidy by the government which is effective as of March 17, 2022, so that the price of packaged cooking oil returns to normal.
Therefore, the presence of bulk cooking oil with a HET of Rp. 14,000 per liter is expected to be an alternative for people who cannot buy packaged cooking oil.
"After the subsidy was removed, the price of packaged cooking oil has now reached Rp. 23,000 per liter, even more depending on the brand and quality," he said.
To anticipate the shortage of bulk cooking oil stocks, his party continues to carry out supervision and monitoring in the field, including the implementation of HET by traders.
"We will monitor the HET of bulk cooking oil so that it can be implemented according to the provisions and does not harm consumers," he said.
