Why IPhone Ads Always Show 9:41 PM?

JAKARTA - It is undeniable that the presence of Apple-made devices is always awaited by many people. But do you realize that every display of Apple product advertisements will always show 9.41 o'clock. Why is that?

The reason is that in almost all Apple product lines, whether it's on the iPhone, MacBook, iPad to Apple Watch, it will always show the same time, which is 9:41 AM or 9:41 AM.

It turns out that the number selection was not arbitrary. It seems that 9:14 p.m. has its own meaning which is rarely known by many people.

Because at 9:41 p.m. on January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone to the general public for the first time at the MacWorld event in San Francisco, United States (US).

According to former senior Apple, Scott Forstall, the time 9:41 which is deliberately displayed on every screen of Apple products, as a reminder when this phenomenal device was first released to the public. In fact, he said, each keynote (presentation) session from the Apple ecosystem will start at exactly 40 minutes.

"We always set the iPhone and iPad keynote sessions to 40 minutes. After that, we will officially show the product. So, we set the time to 9.41 AM," said Forstall, as summarized from Engadget, Wednesday, September 23.

Interestingly, before Apple chose the number 9.41 as the default watch face for each product ad. Apparently, when Steve Jobs introduced the first generation iPhone, it was different, at 9.42 AM.

Forstall said, at that time Jobs always left 1 minute so that his presentation could be finished a little more 'delayed' and gave a momentary pause for the launch of the first generation iPad.

"After the first generation iPad comes, then we set the time to be 40 minutes. So, all Apple products that you see tell the accurate time, according to the keynote flow," he concluded.

Until now, the 9.41 watch display is still used by Apple for its newest product advertisements. Even when Apple launched its newest generation smartphone, the iPhone 11, they still showed the clock at 9.41.

Even at the time of its launch, Apple's events no longer started at 9:41 a.m. The Cupertino giants still respect that number, as the embryo of their success achieved by Apple today.
