Labusel Regent Issues Circular: Sale And Purchase Of 3 Kg Subsidized LPG In Pangkalan Must Show Vaccine Certificate
MEDAN - The percentage of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination in South Labuhanbatu Regency (Labusel), North Sumatra, has still not reached the set target.
Therefore, in order to make the program a success, the local government issued an appeal from the Regent of Labusel numbered:541/718/Ekon/2022.
In that appeal, the people of Labusel Regency who want to buy subsidized LPG 3 Kg must show a card or certificate for the COVID-19 vaccine.
"It is hereby appealed to all people of South Labuhanbatu Regency to take part in the government's COVID-19 vaccination program. For those who cannot show a vaccine certificate at the time of buying and selling subsidized 3 kg LPG. It is appealed to all LPG bases in Labusel to postpone sales to those concerned. until I can show a vaccine certificate card," it was written in the appeal of the Labusel Regent Edimin.
The Regent of Labusel, Edimin, when confirmed confirmed this. He said this step had to be taken because his party continued to be under pressure to immediately provide vaccines to the public.
However, Edimin denied that the move was a threat to society.
"It's true, because we were forced to vaccinate the public, especially the elderly," said Edimin confirmed by VOI, Friday, March 18.
Edimin said that his party experienced many obstacles in their efforts to vaccinate the community. Currently people do not want to be vaccinated.
"Our first vaccine (dose) was successful, there were no problems. We have tried, those who (received) PKH, BLT and those who received assistance from the government, if they were not vaccinated we would not give them," he said.
According to him, the success of the Labusel Regency Government in implementing the first dose of vaccine was because it gave a lure.
"We are being chased by targets until we make a (vaccine) give a motorbike as a gift to the community. 40 washing machines, TVs, refrigerators. We run out of hundreds of millions of money, but not government money," said Edimin.
"So people enjoy it, if they don't give it, they don't want the vaccine," he continued.
His party has put a lot of effort into the success of the COVID-19 vaccination program. In addition, the regent admitted that he was under pressure from the central government.
"We have pressure from the center. Our DAU funds have been cut. What can be cut can be up to Rp. 500 million.
"Our schoolchildren's vaccine has been successful, now parents are objecting, it's funny," he said.
It is known, based on data obtained as of March 17, the percentage of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination in Labusel Regency has only reached 60.63 percent. This figure is still far from the target set, which is 70 percent.
