The IKN Authority Coordinates With The Prosecutor's Office And Is Ready To Meet With The KPK To Attract Investors

JAKARTA - Head of the National Capital Authority (IKN) Nusantara Bambang Susantono said his party had coordinated with the Attorney General's Office to discuss governance. This step is taken to ensure the creation of good governance to attract investors.

"The two of us (along with Deputy Head of the Authority Agency Dhony Rahajoe, ed) have coordinated with the Prosecutor's Office," said Bambang in the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, Friday, March 18.

After coordinating with the Attorney General's Office, the IKN Authority will also meet with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). However, Bambang has not confirmed when the meeting to discuss governance will be held.

"Next week we will follow up with other agencies, including the KPK," he said.

Bambang realizes that the development of good governance in the effort to relocate the nation's capital is very important. Moreover, if Indonesia wants to attract investors for the implementation of the project.

"The more we have good governance, the more investors will believe we have credibility and the trust will be built," he asserted.

"Of course we want to be escorted from the start so that trust or confidence in the IKN Authority can be well formed," he added.

Furthermore, Bambang also spoke about the preparation of the IKN Authority Agency. He said that currently, all decisions are being discussed with the relevant ministries/agencies.

Bambang said that apart from meeting the rules of good governance, he wanted the agency he led to be agile. So, all problems can be solved in the short term.

"We want a form that is agile but still meets the rules of good governance. So, we have an institution whose terms are agile, agile but with good governance and this will be reflected in the organization that is being discussed with the relevant ministries/institutions," he said.

"Essentially, we want the IKN board to have an IKN Authority as a government administrator as well as a regulator, but for business issues there are business entities that will be more agile in carrying out development implementation, attracting investors, and so on so that the pattern of cooperation with the private sector, private agencies will take place dynamically," concluded Bambang.
