JAKARTA - The Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PB ESI) has announced the list of MLBB national team players for the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam on Wednesday, March 9.

Further information was conveyed through the official Instagram account @pbesi_official on Thursday, March 10 regarding the composition of the Mobile Legend Esports national team.

PB ESI announced that there were a total of 11 names on the list, consisting of 7 players, 2 coaches, 1 manager and 1 analyst.

The coach for MLBB itself will be James, who was the coach of RRQ Hoshi in MPL ID Season 5 and 6.

Meanwhile, the assistant coach position is filled by Adi Syofian Asyauri or commonly called RRQ Acil. Because of his position, many questions arise from fans of the Mobile Legend game, the reason for choosing Acil as the assistant coach of the MLBB national team.

One of the candidates for the Mobile Legend national team coach who was not selected, Ko Luis, explained the reason. He revealed that the choice of Acil as assistant coach was due to a decision from the head coach, James.

"This decision is from the head coach. So, when submitting a proposal about our work program, who are the management ranks, it has already been written. For example James, the second coach will be Acil. So it should have been in James' proposal," said Ko Lius on the YouTube channel , Jonathan Liandi.

Launching from Esports, Acil was chosen to be the assistant coach of the MLBB national team because the National Selection Committee contacted him and Acil felt challenged to lead the national team.

"Actually, the problem with the process (of becoming an assistant coach) is more than myself. I want to learn to lead for the time being. I was contacted by the National Selection Committee and invited to partner, but I already knew there would be a National Selection for Coaches, Assistants and Analysts," said Acil. to Esports.ID

Former player and coach RRQ Hoshi responded positively about his duet with James in the national team. Acil admitted that he had known James for a long time. Acil will brainstorm gameplay with James.

"Because I feel, James and I have similar gameplay but not the same," explained Acil.

The Esports Training Center for the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam will start from April 1 to 30. There are about 120 players over 10 match numbers.
