Strong Wind Damaged 26 Residents' Houses In Flamboyan Garden 2 Tangerang Housing

TANGERANG - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tangerang Regency, Banten, reported that strong winds and heavy rains caused dozens of houses to be damaged in the Flamboyan Garden 2 Residential Area, Munjul Village, Solear District.

"The number of houses damaged by strong winds accompanied by rain was 26 houses. All of them were moderately damaged, especially the damaged roofs," said Tangerang Regency BPBD Head of Emergency and Logistics Abdul Munir in Tangerang as reported by Antara, Thursday, March 17.

He explained that the strong winds accompanied by rain occurred at 14.30 WIB. As a result, 26 houses of local residents suffered damage to the roof. As an emergency response effort, Tangerang Regency BPBD has coordinated with related parties, including the local government.

In addition, the rapid reaction team (TRC) has carried out assessments and assisted the process of handling debris and other damage caused by these natural phenomena.

"The Tangerang Regency BPBD will provide logistical assistance to affected residents in the form of sardines, mineral water, sweet soy sauce, sweetened condensed milk, and food packages," he said.

His party will also deploy a rehabilitation and reconstruction team to assist residents who were victims of the disaster in restoring their homes.

"Tomorrow, Friday, March 18, our team from the rehabilitation and reconstruction sector will provide direct logistical assistance to the affected residents," he said.
