The Directorate General Of PAS Explains The Origin Of The Cellphone Used By Napoleon Bonaparte During The Session
JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of Corrections at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Rika Aprianti, said that the cell phone used by convict Napoleon Bonaparte during the online trial belonged to officers from the Cipinang Correctional Institution (Lapas).
"Information about the Cipinang Headquarters, the cellphone (mobile) used was the cellphone of the prison officer, which was lent to contact Pak Ahmad Yani, his lawyer," Rika said, confirmed by Antara, Thursday, March 17.
The cell phone (cellphone) used by Napoleon was said to belong to the Head of the Cipinang Prayoga Prison Registration Section.
In the trial related to the alleged beating case, which was carried out by Napoleon against fellow convict Muhamad Kosman alias M. Kace, the high-ranking police officer was seen using a cellphone.
Napoleon attended the trial at the South Jakarta District Court (PN) online from Cipinang Jakarta Prison, because he was a prisoner in the prison.
M. Kace was allegedly ganged up by Napoleon along with several other detainees while they were at the Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Detention Center on August 26, 2021 in the morning. Not long after the beating, M. Kace reported the incident to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police and underwent a post-mortem.
M. Kace's post-mortem results, as stated in the indictment of perpetrators other than Napoleon, showed bruises on the forehead, bridge of the nose, temples, back of the head, left cheek, and upper eyelid of the left eye. Then, there were bleeding spots on the membrane of the left eyeball and swelling on the right side of the waist.
According to Napoleon's legal advisor, M. Kace and Napoleon had made a peace agreement on September 3, 2021. Even though there was a peace agreement, the legal case would continue until the alleged perpetrators were named as suspects on September 29, 2021.
Meanwhile, on October 19, 2021, the Prosecutor's Office received the dossier of the beatings case from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. The legal process for the beating has now entered the South Jakarta District Court, with case number 208/Pid.B/2022/PN JKT.SEL for the suspect Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte.
The case file for another perpetrator, namely Harmeniko alias Choky alias Pak RT, is also registered at the South Jakarta District Court with case number 209/Pid.B/2022/PN JKT.SEL. Meanwhile, the remaining three perpetrators, Dedy Wahyudi, Djafar Hamzah, and Himawan Prasetyo, also underwent a similar legal process at the South Jakarta District Court, with case number 210/Pid.B/2022/PN JKT.SEL.
