JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir has dissolved three companies that have not operated for a long time. Erick said that the dissolution was part of the transformation of state-owned enterprises carried out by the Ministry of SOEs.

The three companies he disbanded were PT Industri Sandang Nusantara (Persero), PT Kertas Kraft Aceh (Persero), and PT Industri Glass (Persero) or Iglas.

"On today's occasion, there are three companies that will be carried out immediately (dissolution) and follow other companies under Danareksa and PPA (Asset Management Companies) which can be consolidated or reduced in number," he said, at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, March 17. .

According to Erick, the disbandment is part of the seven companies that are planned to take action. Erick said the three companies he had dissolved had long been out of operation.

As is known, PT Kertas Kraft Aceh has stopped operating since 2008, then PT Industri Glass has not operated since 2015, and PT Industri Sandang Nusantara has not operated since 2018.

"Of course this company must not continue to be adrift, we must not be a tyrannical leader who does not ensure rather than take sides to solve it properly. After all, it is clear that this company is no longer operating," he said.

For your information, the dissolution decision process was taken at the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) some time ago. The official disbandment is said to be waiting for a Government Regulation which will be issued in June 2022.
