Temesis Kelapa Gading Massage Parlor 'Plus-Plus' Was Raided

JAKARTA - Police raided a Temesis plus-plus massage parlor located in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. In the raid, 21 people were arrested, 3 of whom were named suspects.

"3 people have been named as suspects, namely DD's brother as supervisor, TI's sister as cashier, and brother AF as cashier," Deputy Chief of North Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Aries Andhi told reporters, Tuesday, September 22.

Meanwhile, the other 18 people were still witnesses. They are the therapists and workers of the massage parlor. The raids were carried out on Monday, September 21.

"9 of them are actors or therapists at the place of business. There are 9 more people who are assistants or who carry out operational assistance at that place," he said.

The disclosure of the massage parlor originated from the suspicion that the massage parlor, which is a shop house (ruko), is very closed but has a lot of activity. So, the police followed up and got information that the place was a place of prostitution with a massage parlor mode.

"So that when the members enter the shop, it is known that there are some who do or customers get massage facilities performed by the therapists," he said.

From the results of the investigation, the suspects charged hundreds of thousands per hour just for massage. But for other things or obscene acts, the fees charged are much higher.

"For services charged to customers, it is IDR 160 thousand per hour. If you carry out other activities until an obscene act occurs, the customer must pay IDR 300 thousand," he said.

Keep Open When PSBB

Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of North Jakarta, Ali Maulana Hakim, said that the massage parlor also violated Governor Regulation (Pergub) number 79 of 2020. Because it continued to operate during the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period.

In fact, several months ago, the massage parlor closed because it was not part of the 11 permitted business sectors.

"Approximately one month ago when they were relaxed they operated. However, when the PSBB was re-enforced they did not close their business activities," he said.

With all their actions, the suspects were charged under Article 296 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 506 of the Criminal Code concerning facilitating obscene acts and taking advantage of obscene acts. So they face imprisonment for 1 year and 4 months.
