West Bangka Police Urges Residents To Stop Illegal Mining In Tanjung Niur

BANGKA BARAT - The Bangka Barat Police Resort, Bangka Belitung Islands Province appealed to residents to stop illegal tin ore mining activities in the Berembang River, Tanjung Niur, because there was no permission from the related parties.

"The appeal has been conveyed by the Tempilang Police Team together with Communication Forum officials at the local sub-district level. We hope that the miners will obey and not carry out any more mining activities at that location," said Tempilang Police Chief Iptu Ahmad Muhklis in West Bangka, as reported by Antara, Thursday, March 17.

The appeal made by the Police together with sub-district officials was carried out at the Tanjung Niur Village Office and was attended by dozens of representatives from miners who normally operate in the Berembang River.

This was done following up on the news from one of the media which the personnel responded quickly by gathering representatives of the miners at the local village office so that they could end mining activities at that location. while keeping the situation conducive.

"As law enforcement officers, we stop these activities to minimize the possibility of conflict in the community, as well as enforce mining regulations," he said.
