Sis Seto Regrets The Attitude Of Parents Of Sexual Abuse Victims In Jagakarsa Who Claim To Be Busy, Unable To Fulfill Police Calls
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI) Seto Mulyadi or Kak Seto visited the South Jakarta Metro Police to find out the follow-up to the case of sexual violence that befell a 6-year-old boy with the initials ZF in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.
Met at the South Jakarta Police, Kak Seto assessed that the attitude of the victim's parents was less cooperative. According to him, this makes it difficult for the police to arrest the perpetrator, who is suspected to be a traveling dumpling maker named Kusni.
"Unfortunately his parents were not cooperative. (Because) his father was called many times, there was a summons later on Whatsapp. (The reason) was 'oh I can't come, I can't come, I'm busy', how come that's the case," explained Kak Seto to reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, March 16.
"We see that the police chief is very serious, the (police) officers are also very serious, even the officers want to come at night if necessary," he continued.
Kak Seto revealed that the police admitted that it was difficult because the information obtained from the family was not optimal. Therefore, Kak Seto hopes for the victim's family to be more cooperative in the investigation.
"Requesting with all due respect to really focus on this case, we also ask the father and mother of the victim to cooperate in the investigation, that is the most important thing," he said.
Separately, the Head of the PPA Satreskrim of the South Jakarta Police, Kompol Nunu Supadmi said that his party had determined the status of Kusni, a traveling dumpling maker, as a DPO (wanted list). Therefore, the police requested that the perpetrator immediately surrender himself.
"We urge Kusni alias Tebet to be cooperative, immediately surrender to the police because even if you avoid the police, we will keep looking," he said.
