Stockbit's E-IPO Feature Makes It Easy For Users To Buy Shares Of IPO Companies, Including GOTO
JAKARTA - The year 2021 has made a new history for the Indonesian capital market. A total of 54 issuers have conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2021 with a fund raised value of IDR 62.61 trillion, which is the highest fundraising value in the history of the IDX.
In 2022, the same trend is expected to repeat itself, given that companies and the public are increasingly optimistic about the acceleration of the national economic recovery. Responding to the high public interest in buying shares of IPO companies, in early 2022 the Stockbit stock investment application has introduced an e-IPO feature that allows retail investors in Indonesia to monitor the list of companies that will conduct IPOs and increase their chances of getting an allotment of shares. .
"As the founder of Stockbit has often said, the opportunity for Stockbit users to be able to participate in a full online IPO is a form of our commitment in opening and expanding Indonesian people's access to the capital market," said William, PR & Corporate Communication Lead of Stockbit, in his statement, Wednesday 16 March.
William added, the presence of the e-IPO feature on Stockbit is very relevant considering the IPO phenomenon which has recently become a daily conversation among the general public. As is known, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk, which is the holding company of the collaboration of two digital companies created by the nation's children (Gojek at Tokopedia), has held a public expose session on March 15, 2022 and is currently entering the initial offering stage.
This stage takes place from March 15 to March 21, 2022. Meanwhile, the price range for the company's shares with the code $GOTO at this stage is IDR 316-346 per share.
“For the public and users who are interested in participating in the IPO of $GOTO and other companies, the Stockbit e-IPO feature can be an option because users do not need to fill out physical documents at all. The good news is that all stages of the e-IPO can also be directly monitored on the Stockbit application without having to switch applications. For users who are taking part in the IPO for the first time, the process is also very easy because it is supported by clear instructions and a simple UI/UX," added William.
The presence of the Stockbit application has a positive impact on the development of public participation in the capital market. Previously, access for retail investors to participate in primary market share orders was quite limited. With the e-IPO feature, Stockbit hopes that more investors will be able to participate in a public offering.
To make the investment experience easy and simple, apart from partnering with Bank Central Asia (BCA) and Bank Jago in terms of opening Customer Fund Accounts (RDN), Stockbit has also presented a comprehensive stock analysis tool (Stockbit Pro), a social forum for mutual discussion between users (Stockbit Stream), Analyst Rating, Exercise Rights & Warrants, Intraday Charts, and stock investment exercises with simulation (Stockbit Virtual Trading).
Meanwhile, to provide an opportunity for Indonesians to learn stocks from scratch professionally from experienced mentors, Stockbit presents Stockbit Academy which can be accessed for free.
In terms of the number of stock investors, at the beginning of 2016, the number of stock investors was 434 thousand people, while at the end of February 2022 the figure had touched 3.65 million people. Responding to this positive trend, Stockbit is committed to continuing to innovate in providing a safe investing experience while providing features that are relevant to user needs.
"It is our commitment to provide users with a safe, easy and enjoyable investment experience, but at the same time, support the national economy by expanding public access to the capital market," William concluded.
