Meeting With MotoGP Racers, Jokowi Takes Photos With Marc Marques To Jack Miller
JAKARTA - The MotoGP racers who will compete at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) have held a meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta today, Wednesday, March 16.
The meeting between President Jokowi and racers such as Marc Marquez, Joan Mir, Alex Rins, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Maverick Vinales, Alex Marquez, and Takaaki Nakagami was held at around 09.30 WIB. In addition to international riders, there are also two Indonesian racers, namely Moto3 rider Mario Aji and Idemitsu Asian Talent Cup racer Veda Ega Pratama.
From the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, Jokowi welcomed the racers on the veranda of the Merdeka Palace. He was seen wearing a red jacket produced by Rabbit and Wheels with the words G20, black pants, and sneakers. Don't forget Jokowi is wearing a brown mask.
Meanwhile, the racers appear to be wearing race suits that they will use when paving the Mandalika Circuit.
When they arrived at the veranda of the Merdeka Palace, the racers were immediately greeted by a happy Jokowi. Then the discussion took place and continued with a group photo session.
After taking pictures, the group then went to the Merdeka Palace courtyard. There, President Jokowi had time to show his motorbike, the green Kawasaki W175 which he often used.
When showing the motorbike, he had time to talk with several MotoGP riders, one of them was Marc Marquez. Not long after, the group photo session was held again.
Finished taking pictures, President Jokowi together with the racers headed outside the Merdeka Palace. He released the MotoGP riders who would be parading towards the HI Roundabout.
Previously, Dorna Sport explained the presence of MotoGP racers in Jakarta before competing in Mandalika as a form of appreciation for the hard work of the Indonesian government in preparing MotoGP in Indonesia.
“And this is the first year of 10 years of cooperation. Therefore, out of our respect, the racers will meet with President Joko Widodo tomorrow. We also thank you for your time, Mr President," said Dorna Sports Chief Sporting Officer Carlos Ezpeleta.
