Child Of Nirwan Bakrie Canceled Investigation By KPK Regarding Alleged Acceptance Of Gratification At Sidoarjo Regency Government

JAKARTA - The director of PT Minarak Brantas Gas, Andika Nuraga Bakrie, who is the son of Nirwan Bakrie, has been canceled by the KPK. He was originally going to be questioned as a witness regarding the alleged receipt of gratuities at the Sidoarjo Regency Government (Pemkab) today.

However, Andika was not present and asked the KPK to reschedule the summons against him.

"Today we summoned Andika Nuraga Bakrie, who was not present but confirmed to the KPK investigators to reschedule. Of course, we will reschedule the summons later," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Tuesday, March 15 .

Ali did not specify the material to be investigated from Andika. However, the KPK is currently investigating the alleged flow of money from the private sector to the Sidoarjo Regency Government to obtain the project.

The investigation was carried out by examining a number of witnesses who were also summoned today. Those summoned were two employees of PT Indosat, Tbk, Riny Kusumawaty and Miftah Agustini; a private employee named Johan Tedja Surya; and former Director of PT Behaestex, Faisol Abdurra'ud.

"Witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, related to allegations of various flows of money received by parties related to this case from several private parties who received work projects at the Sidoarjo Regency Government," he said.

"KPK is still developing cases from hand arrest activities to alleged receipt of gratuities by parties, which we will report later," Ali added.

For information, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of receiving gratuities at the Sidoarjo Regency Government. However, neither the suspect nor the construction of the case have been explained.

According to the new policy under Firli Bahuri's leadership, the announcement of suspects and the construction of cases will be announced during attempts to force arrest and detention.

Previously, former Sidoarjo Regent Saiful Ilah had been prosecuted in the bribery case for an infrastructure project. He was then sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison and is now a breath of fresh air after languishing in the Class I prison in Surabaya.
