COVID-19 Update As Of March 15: New Cases 14,408, Active Cases Drop To 299,443
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 236,004 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 14,408 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5,914,532 people and active cases have decreased by 13,515 to 299,443 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, March 14.
Today's recovered cases increased by 27,615 people, bringing the total to 5,462,344 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 308 cases and a total of 152,745 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 3,094 cases and a total of 1,077,608 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 1,581 new cases with a total of 612,566 cases. DKI Jakarta has 1,571 new cases and a total of 1,220,878 cases. East Java has 1,140 new cases and a total of 566,661 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 7,189 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 3,150 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,298 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 1,951 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 89,512,643.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 13.49 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 14,508 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, there are currently 193,658,864 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 151,821,843 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 14,770,130. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
