JAKARTA - The BNPB Operations Control Center (Pusdalops) monitored twelve houses that were washed away when flash floods occurred in the Cicurung District area today, Monday, September 21. Developments until midnight, recorded dozens of other houses submerged in water mixed with mud.
Head of Disaster Information and Communication Data Center of BNPB, Raditya Jati, said that the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Pusdalops Sukabumi Regency reported that 12 houses were washed away, 85 houses were submerged and 1 car was swept away by flash floods.
"We are still collecting data on material losses in the field. Until the information is received, there have been no fatalities as a result of this incident," Raditya said in a statement received by VOI, Tuesday, September 22.
Meanwhile, several areas in Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java that were affected by flash floods include Pasawahan Village (CIbuntu Village), Cisaat Village (Cipari Village), Mekarsari Village (Lio and Nyangkowek Village), Bangbayang Village (Perum Setia Budi) .
The BPBD of Sukabumi Regency has deployed personnel of the fast reaction team (TRC) to carry out emergency handling at the affected location.
Previously, it was reported that high intensity rain and the overflow of the Citarik - Cipeuncit River on Monday (21/9), 17.10 WIB, triggered this incident.
