Police Find Hundreds Of Cartons Of Cooking Oil Amid Scarcity

JAKARTA - Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the East Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Ahsanul Muqqafi said that his party was carrying out the implementation of the order of the Indonesian National Police Chief regarding checking the distribution of cooking oil on the market.

For this reason, his party checked 4 points of packaged cooking oil processing factories in the Pulogadung and Cakung areas, East Jakarta.

"We are looking for the source of the scarcity of cooking oil. Is it at the producer, market or elsewhere. Our goal is to conduct an inspection at this place," said AKBP Ahsanul Muqqafi to VOI at the location, Tuesday, March 15.

Ahsanul said that so far his party was still conducting an examination, he had not seen anything odd. However, Ahsanul saw that the cooking oil that had been packaged in the factory, unlike in the market and in a number of mini markets, which often looked empty.

"For now, there are no findings. But we ask for data on whether the goods entering and leaving are normal or not. Is there an increase or a decrease. We will evaluate it after we get the data," he said.

In the inspection, the joint apparatus will take action and enforce the law if other violations are found.
