Recovering From COVID-19, Praveen/Jasmine Is Ready To Fight In All England
JAKARTA - PB Djarum Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti mixed doubles are in a ready condition to face the 2022 All England Super 1,000 tournament which will take place at Utlita Arena Birmingham, England, on March 16-20.
The pair ranked fifth in the world departed for Elizabeth Country in the early hours of Monday at 00:15 WIB, using Emirates airline EK359 from Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Besides Praveen/Melati, PB Djarum also sent one other representative, namely Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. They were accompanied by the coach Vita Marissa.
The chairman of PB Djarum, Yoppy Rosimin hopes that Praveen/Melati and Dejan/Gloria can take advantage of the opportunity to compete and give maximum performances.
"Their condition is currently in good condition and ready to compete. My message is that they can perform optimally to prove themselves, that they are still very worthy of being one of the best Indonesian and world pairs," said Yoppy as quoted by Antara, Monday.
Praveen/Melati and Dejan/Gloria previously canceled their appearance at the Super 300 German Open at Westenergie Sporthalle, Mulheim an der Ruhr, Germany, March 8-13, because they tested positive for COVID-19.
With these conditions, automatically the two pairs will only play two matches in Europe. In addition to the All England, they are also scheduled to compete in the Swiss Open Super 300 which will take place on March 22-27.
At the Swiss Open, PB Djarum will also dispatch Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami mixed doubles. They will leave for Switzerland on March 20. After that they will also perform at the Orleans Masters at the Palais des Sports, France on 29 March-3 April.
