By Coincidence, Widia Ningsih Died In A Landslide In Bojong Village, Bandung Regency

BANDUNG - One resident was buried by a landslide in Bojong Village, Nagreg District, Bandung Regency, West Java. The victim is known as Widia Ningsih (34).

Head of Prevention and Preparedness for BPBD Bandung Regency Hendra Hidayat said the landslide incident at the location occurred on Sunday, March 13 evening.

"Due to heavy rains that hit the Nagreg area, it caused landslides," he said in Bandung, Antara, Monday, March 14.

Since Sunday afternoon, the Greater Bandung area has been raining heavily until the evening. The Bojong Village is located around the Nagreg Ring Road which has hilly contours.

In addition to one person who died, BPBD noted that there were six houses that were affected by the landslide. Of the six houses, three houses were damaged and the other three houses were threatened with landslides.

Then, two other people also suffered injuries from the landslide and were rushed to the hospital. The two victims were named Yani Sri (35) and T (4).

Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz (29), as a resident around the location, said that the victims who died were not residents who lived in the landslide location. According to him, the victim happened to be passing by at the location.

"Avalanches occur when there is lightning, so I don't know why there are also landslides," he said.

He explained that the victim died after being rushed to the hospital. Now, the victim is being buried by his family.
