Two Girls Died Bounced From Yamaha Mio Motorcycle After Collision With Car In Duren Sawit, East Jakarta
JAKARTA - Two girls were found dead in a traffic accident on Jalan Raya Soekamto Hospital, opposite the Kamil Jaya welding shop, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Saturday, March 12, evening.
The Head of Traffic and Traffic at the East Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Seno Wibowo, said that the two victims with the initials SSP (12) and SS (13) were riding a Yamaha Mio automatic motorcycle with the number B 4870 TAV.
"At the time of the incident, the motorcycle was driven by a student with the initials SSP (12). The victim suffered serious injuries to the head and died at the scene," said Iptu Seno to VOI, Sunday, March 13.
Iptu Seno explained, based on the testimony of witnesses in the field, the accident began when the motorbike driven by the two girls overtook a car. However, motorcyclists are called less careful.
Where when you want to overtake the car, the motorcyclist cannot control the motorbike when passing a car in the opposite direction. As a result, the motorcycle handlebar nudged the car.
The motorbike they were riding swerved and hit the pavement. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist was thrown onto the road and died on the spot with serious head injuries.
"According to witnesses at the scene, the motorbike driven by the two victims was traveling from the east to the west. The victim passed through Jalan Raya Soekamto Hospital," said Seno.
Meanwhile, the SS who was riding, said Seno, died on the way to the Budi Asih Hospital. The two victims are known to residents of Grinding, East Jakarta.
"As a result, the motorcyclist died on the spot and the passenger died on the way to the hospital," he said.
Currently, the case is still under investigation by the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit. The bodies of the SSP victims were taken to the RSCM for further processing.
The police currently confiscate the motorbike as evidence. The motor was damaged in the body and left handlebar.
