PLN Supports Motorcycle Community To Campaign For Electric Motorcycles To Welcome G20
DENPASAR - Limited Liability Company PLN Bali Distribution Holding Unit supports the growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem by encouraging various elements of society, including the activities of the Electric Motorcycle Community to actively campaign for the use of electric vehicles towards clean energy to welcome the G20.
PLN's support includes the implementation of the Electric Vehicle Community Gathering and Rally organized by various Indonesian electric vehicle communities in Bali to campaign for clean energy.
Senior Manager of Commerce of PLN UID Bali, Martindar Jalu Respati, said that his party fully supports activities that carry the theme of using electric vehicles in the community.
"Through this activity, we want to further convince the public that the supporting infrastructure for electric vehicles is ready", he said in a written statement from PLN UID Bali received in Denpasar, Sunday, March 13.
Quoted by Antara, one of the infrastructures that PLN has prepared is the Hayam Wuyuk Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station on Hayam Wuruk Street, Denpasar. At the Hayam Wuruk of General Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU), there is 1 SPLU that can be used by electric motorcycle rally participants to recharge their vehicles.
Not only that, but PLN has also provided 165 other SPLU units spread across various locations in Bali. Especially at Hayam Wuruk, there are also 2 fast charging SPKLU units with a capacity of 25 kilowatts each for electric cars.
According to him, this infrastructure was built not only for public facilities but also as a showcase or showroom for the public to be more educated and motivated to switch to using vehicles that are more environmentally friendly.
In addition, as many as 21 units of fast charging SPKLU have also been completed. Currently, PLN is also preparing 60 units of SPKLU ultra-fast charging in 29 shelters to support the international event of the G20 Summit.
Jalu said that his party will also provide 150 units of home charging facilities in nine locations for the success of the G20 Summit in November 2022.
Meanwhile, I Made Arnawa, the chairman of the organizing committee of this activity hopes that the event with the theme Green Energy Towards G20 will be able to revive the Sports Automotive Tourism program as well as campaign for the migration of fuel vehicles to electric vehicles.
"Through this activity, we want to encourage the use of electric vehicles as a modern means of transportation and make tourist villages a new economic center", he said.
It was also said that this rally was attended by various electric vehicle communities from Jakarta and Bali. This activity aims to inspire people to switch to using electric energy (vehicles) to be environmentally friendly.
"I hope that the Balinese people will participate and contribute in protecting the earth from global warming", he said.
