The Reason Why The Latest Smartphones Don't Use Removable Batteries Anymore
JAKARTA - The majority of smartphones today no longer use removable or removable batteries. This trend is increasing along with the use of non-removable batteries that are embedded in smartphones.
Initially, the use of non-removable batteries was only used by high-end cellphones such as the iPhone. However, currently almost all smartphones on the market use non-removable batteries.
The reason smartphone manufacturers switch to using non-removable batteries or embedded batteries is because they can make cellphone designs thinner and elegant. The smartphone design will become more beautiful and elegant with no battery appearing.
Generally, smartphones with built-in batteries have proven battery cycle endurance. So cellphone vendors will not be careless about installing non-removable battery types if the battery power is not good.
In comparison, a removable battery can last for 1 year for its best performance. However, non-removable batteries can last at least twice as long, before experiencing a decline in performance.
Disadvantages of Non-Removable BatteriesOf course this is a distinct advantage for Smartphone device manufacturers. Even so, it does not mean that the use of non-removable smartphone batteries has no drawbacks.
There are several drawbacks that users may feel when using a Smartphone with a non-removable battery. Like when the device hangs or errors, the smartphone will be difficult to repair.
Because in old smartphone devices that use removable batteries, the user only needs to remove the battery so that the device turns off when a hang or error occurs. This of course cannot be done on smartphones with built-in batteries, which can only force restart to restore the condition of the cellphone.
Another drawback is when your Smartphone device is exposed to water or submerged in water. If on a smartphone with a removable battery, generally it will immediately pull out the battery so that there is no electricity which triggers a possible short circuit
On smartphone devices with non-removable batteries, of course this cannot be done. So that the possibility of damage to components and even devices if this happens is even greater.
But of course smartphone vendors have thought about this, so that not a few cellphones are already accompanied by IP68 certification which means waterproof. On the other hand, cellphone vendors have also increased battery capacity above average to 4,000-5,000 mAh, so that users don't need to recharge their cellphones frequently.
