Search For Elite Athletes Starting From Makassar, Menpora: According To Sport Design

MAKASSAR - The search for talented athletes through the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) has begun. Makassar City, South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi), became the first to implement it.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali during a public lecture at Hasanuddin University Makassar, Saturday, March 12. On this occasion, the Minister of Youth and Sports handed over sports equipment assistance.

"So we started recruiting talents according to the sports design," said the Minister of Youth and Sports, as quoted by Antara.

Also on this occasion, the politician from the Golkar Party also inaugurated the Sport Science Laboratory at Makassar State University (UNM). The Minister of Youth and Sports hopes that the existence of this laboratory will make the coaching program and sports achievements in South Sulawesi more advanced and developed.

Previously, the Menpora had appointed South Sulawesi as one of 10 regional development centers through the elite athlete search program through the Great National Sports Design (DBON).

"South Sulawesi is the first to socialize Presidential Decree 86 No. 6 and DBON 2021, from 10 athlete development centers from the west and east ends," said the Minister of Youth and Sports.
