Positive COVID-19, Minister Of Religion Fachrul Razi Delegates His Tasks To His Deputy Minister
JAKARTA - Minister of Religion (Menag) Fachrul Razi tested positive for COVID-19 after carrying out a swab test on Thursday, September 17. Even though he tested positive, Fachrul was in good condition and had no worrisome symptoms.
"On September 17, the Minister of Religion conducted a swab test and the results were positive. However, thank God, his physical condition was well monitored and there were no worrisome symptoms," said Special Staff to the Minister of Religion Kevin Haikal in a written statement, Monday, September 21.
Kevin explained, currently Minister of Religion Fachrul is undergoing a process of isolation and rest. He did this as an effort to implement health protocols and break the chain of spreading this virus to those around him.
"We ask for prayers from the community, hopefully the process will run smoothly and the Minister of Religion can quickly recover, I hope the results of the next swab will be negative, so that the Minister of Religion can carry out his duties again," he said.
Regarding his work, according to the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Religion, Oman Fathurahman Fachrul has coordinated and delegated temporary duties to his representatives and has provided directions to relevant officials. He did this to focus more on undergoing the isolation process and recovering health.
In addition, the Minister of Religion also requested that the Ministry of Religion participate in preventing the spread of COVID-19, especially in religious education institutions and religious institutions. "He asked that it run well, the assistance that was distributed was also right on target and accountable," said Oman.
"The Minister of Religion asked that religious programs and services continue. Coordination will continue to be carried out online," he continued.
In addition, to the public, Fachrul also advised them to comply with government recommendations with discipline in implementing health protocols. "Anyone can be affected by Covid-19, nothing but, let us empathize with each other, strengthen each other, and endeavor to comply with health protocols. Hopefully this pandemic can be resolved soon," he concluded.
Apart from Minister of Religion Fachrul Razi, previously there were two ministers in the Forward Indonesia Cabinet who tested positive for COVID-19. They are Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo.
