Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, Flagship 'Cheap' Cell Phone

JAKARTA - Samsung will hold a Galaxy Unpacked event on 23 September. Through this event, Samsung will release a special edition of the Galaxy S20 for its fans.

Galaxy S20 Fan Editon (FE), is a cellphone that will be released by Samsung and is included in the sub-flagship line. Where this phone will carry high-class specifications but at a much more affordable price.

According to the leak from Evan Blass, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be sold at a price range of 700 to 900 US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 10 to Rp. 13 million. This phone will be available in two chipset choices, namely Exynos 990 for the 4G variant, and Snapdragon 865 for 5G.

Other specs will be the same including a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 32MP selfie camera, and a protective Corning Gorilla Glass 3.The screen resolution is 2,400 x 1,080 pixels.

In addition, there is also 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal memory. Three rear cameras each with two 12MP, 12MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto modules with 3x optical zoom. Rumor has it that this phone will also be equipped with Space Zoom capabilities.

This smartphone is also supported by a 4,500 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support and can charge it wirelessly. Reportedly the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition also has reverse charging support, Quick Share, DeX Wireless, and Wireless PowerShare technology.

Other specifications of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition are IP68 protection, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner. For software, this phone supports the Android 10 operating system with the One UI 2 interface

Compiled from GizChina, this phone will have six different color variants, namely cloud navy, cloud white, cloud pink, cloud red, cloud blue and cloud gold. The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is predicted to go on sale at the end of this month, or early October 2020.
