Trenggalek Takes Advantage Of IDR 100 Billion PEN Fund Repairing Roads

TRENGGALEK - The government of Trenggalek Regency, East Java has optimized the use of PEN (National Economic Recovery) loan funds of Rp. 100 billion to improve road and bridge infrastructure during the period of 2022.

"There are a total of three bridges and 15 roads that we will repair using this PEN fund," said Trenggalek Regent Mochamad Nur Arifin in Trenggalek as reported by Antara, Friday, March 11.

The tender process for the project work is currently being prepared.

The Trenggalek Regency Government previously received a PEN fund loan disbursement of Rp250 billion.

Such a large fund, as the proposal has been approved by the central government, is intended for the construction of the COVID-19 Hospital and the dr. Soedomo Trenggalek amounting to IDR 150 billion and for infrastructure repairs for 15 road projects and three bridges in Trenggalek amounting to IDR 150 billion.

There are still a number of roads and bridges that need to be repaired.

However, because the funding plan is not included in the PEN fund, the Trenggalek Regency Government will seek through budget posts sourced from PAD APBD or other legitimate sources.

"We are trying to find a budget. Either from routine maintenance or maybe an emergency," said Nur Arifin.

The bridges that are the priority for repairs are in the Tugu, Pule and Munjungan sub-districts.

Meanwhile, there are 15 road repair projects at several points.

The repaired roads include an access road that connects Dukuh Village, Watulimo District with Ngadimulyo Village, Kampak District and Watuagung Village Road which leads to Ngembel Village.

Two sections of the road leading to the tourist site were fairly badly damaged and needed repairs.

"Yes, there are three bridge projects and 15 road projects that will be repaired using PEN funds of Rp. 100 billion. The term is periodic maintenance. Currently, the work is still in the bidding process, we have delegated it to the procurement service unit (ULP)," said the Head of the Public Works and Structural Service. The road repairs include road infrastructure to tourist sites in Watulimo District.

"The budget for road repairs this year is still minimal. However, selectively the worst ones will be prioritized. Including this road in Dukuh Village (Watulimo District), because of course we will prioritize the tourism route. because the budget is limited," he said.
