'Matched' With Airin For The DKI Regional Head Election, Sahroni: Still Acquaintances
JAKARTA - General Treasurer of NasDem Ahmad Sahroni responded to signs of 'matchmaking' with Golkar DPP Chair Airin Rachmi Diany for the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada.
It is known, the signal for a duet between Sahroni and Airin appeared after Golkar visited the NasDem DPP Office or NasDem Tower, Thursday, March 11.
Casually, Sahroni said, currently both are still in the exploration stage. If they match, the two political parties are ready to form a coalition in the DKI Pilkada.
"It's still introductions and we need an approach, when we get to know each other, we'll just 'date'. It depends on the introductions," Sahroni told reporters, Friday, March 11.
Regarding exploring the coalition to invite other parties to carry the duo Sahroni and Airin in the Pilkada, the NasDem legislator for the DKI Jakarta Dapil said that all of them are waiting for the communication process with Golkar.
"It depends on the introduction. While we are going out first for a deeper level towards marriage. After that, we will negotiate to approach the other brothers," he said.
Previously, the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, signaled that his party would form a coalition in the upcoming 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada). Namely the plan to 'match' Ahmad Sahroni with Airin Rachmi Diany, the former Mayor of South Tangerang.
During the meeting of the two parties at the NasDem Tower, Thursday, March 10, Airin was present in the elite Golkar group who accompanied Airlangga. Likewise Sahroni, who also attended the meeting accompanying Paloh.
When holding a press conference, Airlangga also briefly mentioned the two.
"In addition, we saw that Mrs. Airin and Mr. Sahroni were also present here. Where is it? So we know that the discussion is not only about macro, but also micro-details," said Airlangga.
However, Airlangga still closed the meeting whether he meant pairing Airin with Sahroni in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. He said there would be time for Airin and Sahroni to talk directly.
"So, Mr. Sahroni and Mrs. Airin, we invite Mr. Sahroni and Mrs. Airin to speak first later, not at noon today," he said.
According to Airlangga, coincidentally that afternoon Airin and Sahroni met each other. He said there were things that were closed that could not be conveyed to the public.
"Because it just so happened that two or two joined the team that met today, so of course many things were closed meetings, some were said and some were not," he said.
