Dredging Of The Mampang River, Which Is The PTUN's Order, Is Targeted For Completion In June 2022

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government through the South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-Department targets the dredging work of the Mampang River to be completed in June 2022.

It is known that the dredging of the Mampang River to completion by the DKI Provincial Government has been ordered by the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN). This order is a decision in a case that was sued by residents of the Mampang River flood victims.

"The dredging activity is divided into three segments, which are expected to be completed in early June 2022," said Head of SDA Settlement of Mampang District, Supriyanto in a statement on the South Jakarta City Government website, quoted Friday, March 11.

Supriyanto explained that the first phase or segment of dredging had been carried out in early January 2022. At that time, the Mampang River lawsuit was still in the court process.

The dredging progress of the Tofu Factory Bridge segment to Pondok Jaya X Bridge has been 100 percent completed with 1,161 cubic meters of sediment dredged and 303 meters long. Now, dredging continues in the second segment.

"In February, the Pondok Jaya X segment will start again with the Pondok Jaya Raya Bridge. This segment is already 43 percent with a length of 190 meters. The number of temporary cubications has reached 492 cubic meters," said Supriyanto.

Furthermore, the dredging process in the third segment will be carried out around Pondok Jaya Raya to Pondok Jaya Pump House. However, there are difficulties encountered in this dredging, namely the narrowing of land due to buildings.

"The difficulty is, on the right and left there are buildings. The loading of mud is carried out in a relay. Because there is no inspection road yet. So the system is dredging and operating," he explained.
