PLN Intensifies Procurement Of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations In Sulawesi

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) operates two Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) in Palu, Central Sulawesi. With the operation of these two SPKLUs, PLN has operated five SPKLUs in the area.

Regional Business Director for Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua & Nusa Tenggara (Sulmapana), Adi Priyanto revealed, this year it is targeted that there will be an additional three SPKLU operating in the North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and Gorontalo regions.

According to him, PLN's move to increase SPKLU is PLN's commitment to the Presidential Regulation regarding the Acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicle Program as well as an effort to be able to contribute to reducing carbon emissions in Indonesia.

"With the inauguration of the two SPKLUs, it is hoped that electric vehicle users in Palu City will increase, so that they can support the renewable energy ecosystem chain that is being developed in Indonesia," Adi said, quoted on Thursday, March 10.

He detailed that the two SPKLUs that had been inaugurated had a Fast Charging type with locations located at two points, namely at the Central Sulawesi Governor's Office and at the PLN UP3 Palu Office.

"The SPKLU which is located at the PLN UP3 Palu office is installed with a capacity of 60 kW and 22 kW, while the one at the Central Sulawesi Governor's office is installed with a capacity of 30 kW," he said.

On the same occasion, General Manager of PLN UIW Suluttenggo, Leo Basuki explained that the SPKLU which was inaugurated has been integrated with the PLN Mobile application.

"In the PLN Mobile application, the SPKLU menu is now available which is connected to the Charge.in application, so that it can make it easier for customers who use electric vehicles to find the nearest SPKLU location and are more practical in the transaction process," said Basuki.
