Bulog Cooperation With Wilmar Producers Sania And Fortune Owned By Conglomerate Martua Sitorus Secures Cooking Oil Supply Until Ramadan In Serang

JAKARTA - Serang City Police in collaboration with the Serang City Industry and Trade Office held a market operation related to the scarcity of packaged cooking oil according to the government's Highest Retail Price (HET) at Rp. 14,000 per liter.

The distribution of cooking oil will be held for the next three days or until March 12, 2022, starting at Serang Square, Wednesday 9 March.

Serang City Police Chief AKBP Maruli Achiles Hutapea said his party provided 9,000 liters of cooking oil which was confiscated from the disclosure of cooking oil hoarding. The public can buy a maximum of 2 liters per person on condition that they show a coupon so that the distribution can be done evenly.

Maruli Hutapea said the decision to sell the cooking oil confiscated from the hoarders with the initials AH and RS was the result of coordination with the public prosecutor (JPU) and the Disperindakop of Serang City.

"Today 1,500 liters of cooking oil, 2 liters for one person are prioritized by the people of Serang City. Because this item is quite rare," said Maruli, quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 10.

He said the Serang City Police had coordinated with the Court, the Prosecutor's Office and the owner of the goods regarding the operation of the confiscated cooking oil market.

"We set aside this evidence, it is sold but still used as evidence," he said.

Previously, the Serang City Police raided a house in the Bukit Serang Damai Housing Estate, Walantaka District, Serang City on February 22, 2022 and secured evidence of cooking oil.

Meanwhile, Head of Disperindag Serang City Wasis Dewanto said, apart from the Square, cooking oil market operations were also held in each sub-district, namely Taktakan, Cipocok, Curug and Walantaka sub-districts.

"If the OP in our market is indeed a bit difficult, retail can still be monitored. This is a collaboration with Bulog and PT Wilmar. Hopefully Ramadan will be safe," said Wasis.
