Deputy Chief Of Police: We Are Making New Innovations, A Team To Hunt Down COVID-19 Offenders
JAKARTA - In addition to carrying out health protocol justisi operations to prevent COVID-19 with the TNI, the police have also made new breakthroughs by creating a team tasked with hunting down COVID-19 offenders in the community.
Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Pol Gatot Eddy Pramono, said that the team would move in a place where crowds were possible.

He said, in the implementation of the Justisi operation since Monday, September 14, yesterday deployed 50,000 personnel throughout Indonesia. Action has also been carried out, starting from verbal warnings to closing businesses found violating health protocols in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regarding the number of violators of the Justisi operation, during the four days of implementation, 452,869 people were arrested from 30,465 locations.
Of these figures, he detailed, 379,178 people received verbal warnings and 56,550 others received written warnings.
"Furthermore, currently there are 63 business premises closed, as well as 16,692 people who have been given other sanctions. As well as monetary fines, approximately Rp. 369,135,000," he said.
Furthermore, Gatot realizes that there are still many shortcomings in the implementation of the justisi operation. However, they will fix this shortcoming in the future.
"There are shortcomings and we will fix the goal so that people obey health protocols, especially by using masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands. Especially in the middle of Pilkada preparations," he concluded.
