Doctor Reisa: The President Reminds Local Governments Not Just To Make Decisions Over COVID-19
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reminded local governments not to carelessly make decisions in dealing with COVID-19.
Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Reisa Broto Asmoro said President Jokowi had asked the local government to use case distribution data in making decisions.
"So, if the region, district / city, where we live, records local transmissions, we should limit our activities. For information, local transmission is transmission originating from within the region itself," said Reisa, during a press conference at the Presidential Office, reported by Antara, Friday, September 18.
He said the President asked all regional governments to prevent transmission by limiting activities.
In suppressing the spread of COVID-19, the government has implemented 3T steps, namely testing, tracing and treatment. In the context of tracing or tracking, the Ministry of Health has found more than 1000 clusters.
Clusters themselves can occur at home, work, or other crowd areas. Usually one person starts out who is positive and does not have strict health protocols. Then infect the people around him.
"Clusters can occur anywhere, not only in offices, it can occur in various communities including households," he said.
He reminded the public to apply 3M, wash their hands, keep their distance, and stay away from crowds.
For testing the number is increasing per day. Ministry of Health data records more than 10 thousand tests per 1 million population. And this is an appreciation for the people who fully support it.
Furthermore, for treatment efforts have also been made to handle COVID-19 patients in the best possible way. The pattern of care in various health facilities has been carried out optimally.
For the community, he asked to implement 3M in everyday life and better at home. Because breaking the chain of the pandemic must be done simultaneously throughout Indonesia.
"So let's be united and disciplined, we are Indonesians, extraordinary citizens of the world and Indonesians are optimistic, we can, the 3T government, we 3M, Indonesia certainly can," said Reisa.
