Florence Pugh Gets An Offer To Be The Princess Of Irulan In Dune: Part 2

JAKARTA - Actress Florence Pugh has reportedly received an offer to join the production of the film Dune: Part 2. Florence Pugh is said to be playing the role of Princess Irulan Corrino, the eldest child of Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV. His character will be involved with Paul Atreides, played by Timothee Chalamet.

The role of Princess Irulon is one of the important characters in the story of Dune. This story also deepens the story of Frank Herbert's Dune.

Quoting Variety, so far the offer is still in the negotiation stage by Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Legendary also declined to comment on this news.

Dune: Part 2 is scheduled to start production this summer and hit theaters on October 20, 2023. The story is set to continue after the first film earned $400 million and won 10 Oscar nominations.

Apart from Florence Pugh, Dune: Part 2 still stars Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin. Director Denis Villeneuve is also returning to direct and assist with the script.

Dune tells of Paul Atreides traveling with Duke Leto (Oscar Isaac). He is asked to lead the citizens of Atreides on the Planet Arrakis which has a dangerous desert.

Florence Pugh is currently preparing several films, namely Oppenheimer, Don't Worry Darling, and The Wonder. She also recently starred in the Hawkeye series as Yelena Belova.
