North Maluku Regional Police Confiscate 718 Bottles Of Alcohol With A Stamp From Bitung
TERNATE - The Tipiring Unit Team of the North Maluku Polda (Malut) Tipiring Unit secured thousands of bottles of liquor from Bitung, North Sulawesi to the city of Ternate by sea.
The Head of Public Relations of the Malut Polda Kombes Michael Irwan Thamsil said the police obtained information from the public about the alcohol supplied from Bitung to Ternate City using KM Sinabung.
The team immediately went down to investigate, led by the Head of Aipda Team, Rusdi Umabaihi and a team of personnel from the Ditsamapta Polda Malut.
"From the results of the investigation, the team managed to secure evidence in the form of 10 large white sacks, one small white sack, 11 boxes of Aqua, one red suitcase, one brown suitcase, one children's school bag, two pilgrim bags and one small brown suitcase and one suitcase. black with a total of 718 Aqua bottles measuring 1.5 liters," said Michael as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.
The identity of the owner of the rat-marked liquor is not yet known and all of the evidence found is secured at the Mako Ditsamapta Polda Malut for further processing.
Michael stated that his party would follow up on any reports or information from the public, especially regarding the circulation of alcohol.
"This is an activity to provide a sense of security and prevent criminal acts caused by the influence of alcohol," he said.
Previously, personnel from the Ditsamapta Polda Malut succeeded in thwarting the smuggling of rat-marked liquor through dialogical patrols in the Ahmad Yani port area of Ternate.
The smuggling was thwarted through dialogical patrols and uncovered cases of smuggling 10 liters of alcohol into Ternate with a total of six plastic bags brought from Manado to Ternate.
