Had Broken The Total Impact Of Subsequent Landslides, The Simpang Empat-Talu In West Pasaman Can Now Be Passed By Vehicles
PASAMAN - The traffic lane from Simpang Empat-Talu and vice versa in West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra can already be passed by vehicles. This route was completely cut off following another landslide on Monday, March 7th.
"Today, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles have been cleared after the landslide material in Rimbo Kejahan Kajai was cleared," said Head of the West Pasaman Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, Jhon Edwar, at Simpang Empat, Antara, Tuesday, March 8.
Jhon asked drivers of vehicles that pass through this route to be careful because the hills at that location are still unstable due to the recent earthquake. In addition, vehicles that pass the road that was made must queue because the previous road body was broken and close to the cliff.
"Stay alert because the soil near the road is still unstable and prone to landslides," he said.
The landslide that occurred on Monday night was the second landslide at the same point after the earthquake. The first landslide on Tuesday, March 1 made the asphalt road completely cut off. After that, the PUPR Service made a road beside the asphalt so that vehicles could pass.
However, on Monday night another landslide occurred and made the traffic flow again completely cut off and the rocks could be passed by vehicles on Tuesday afternoon.
He appealed to the public to continue to increase vigilance with the threat of further landslides. Because, he said, currently the rainfall is still high and it is feared that there will be another landslide.
The Rimbo Crime area is an area that was affected by an earthquake some time ago. Roads and hills around the road also have a lot of landslides and crashes.
