Regent Willem Wandik Gives Compensation And Releases The Bodies Of KKB Massacre Victims In Beoga Puncak
PAPUA - Puncak Regent Willem Wandik handed over compensation to nine victims of a massacre by an armed criminal group (KKB) in the interior of Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua.
The distribution of compensation was carried out at Moses Kilangin Airport, Timika to the victim's family
shortly before the release of the bodies buried in their respective hometowns.
Willem expressed his deep condolences for the events that occurred and hoped that the bereaved family would be given courage.
"I represent the government and all the people of Puncak Regency, conveying my deepest condolences for the events that occurred and they are telecommunications heroes, especially in Papua and in Indonesia," said Wandik at the location, Antara, Tuesday, March 8.
On that occasion Wandik was accompanied by the Head of the Peaceful Public Relations Task Force Cartenz Kombes Ahmad Mushtofa Kamal accompanied by Dandim 1714/Puncak Jaya, Lt. Col. Inf. Denny Salurerung.
The massacre carried out by KKB last Wednesday, March in Kampung Jenggeran, Beoga District caused eight of the nine employees to be killed. The survivor was Nelson Sarira who had escaped and left the camp.
The bodies of eight PTT employees were flown to their respective hometowns for burial.
The bodies of the eight victims were evacuated through Jakarta, the five bodies of each of Syaril Nurdiansyah and the late Eko Septiansyah were buried in Jakarta. Bili Galdi Balion was buried in Bandung, Ibo was buried in Subang and Jamaluddin's body was buried in Rangkas Bitung (Banten).
Then the body of Bona Simanulang was sent to Palu, Central Sulawesi, and the body of Renal Tagasye Pastii was flown to Ambon and the body of the late Bebi Tabuni was flown to Ilaga, Puncak Regency.
