Prosecutor's Office Reveals 150 Billion Palm Oil Corruption Cases In Bengkulu

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) will carry out internal consolidation by warning to resolve cases of alleged corruption in oil palm rejuvenation with a total budget of Rp150 billion.

The Head of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) Heri Germany gave a special warning to himself as the Kajati Bengkulu to resolve the case.

"This first day of duty I have to consolidate, internal evaluation and cases of alleged corruption in oil palm replanting will be my concern," said Heri in Bengkulu, Tuesday, March 8. a total budget of Rp. 150 billion.

The funds came from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency in 2019 to 2020 and the oil palm replanting program involved as many as 2,000 farmers.

Assistant for Special Crimes (Apidsus) of the Bengkulu Attorney General's Office, Pandu Pramu Kartika, explained that the program was aimed at rejuvenating oil palm plantations through group submissions.

In addition, currently his party has examined dozens of people involved in the case, and his party has also confiscated Rp13 billion of money.

"We have examined dozens of people and confiscated some money, but so far no suspects have been named," he said.
