Sindir PSI Sells Cheap Cooking Oil Amid Scarcity, Spokesperson For The Ummah Party: This Is Not In Papua, Really Concerned

JAKARTA - The spokesman for the Ummat Party, Mustofa Nahrawardaya, satirized the selling of cooking oil at low prices by the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

Through a tweet on his Twitter account, Mustofa said that this sale was actually a concern because it was not far from the nation's capital, Jakarta.

"This is NOT in Papua. But this incident took place in Bintaro Permai, only a few kilometers from the capital city of Jakarta. It's really concerning," said Mustofa sarcastically quoted from @TofaTofa_id quoted Tuesday, March 8.

"Who is the captain of this country? Say his name who knows cooking oil will soon be easy to get," he said firmly.

Video selling cheap cooking oil was uploaded on the official DPP PSI Twitter account @psi_id. It is said that cooking oil is sold at a price of Rp. 10,000 per liter.

In the description on the 0.30 second video, PSI stated that the sale was made in Cibarusah District.

"Cooking oil is still scarce. DPD PSI Bekasi Regency is holding a cheap market in Cibarusah District. Hundreds of liters of cooking oil are sold at a price of Rp. 10 thousand per liter. Come to work for the people!" write account.

This post received many responses from netizens. How is it possible, in the midst of the current oil scarcity, PSI actually has access to cooking oil and sells it to residents.

"Where do you get that much cooking oil from," asked one netizen on the PSI account.

With various responses from netizens, PSI also replied that oil was obtained by buying it from traditional Bekasi traders.

"More than 10 traders we buy alternately and the price we pay is also the current selling price, not the government subsidy price," said Head of Bekasi Regency PSI DPD Muhammad Syahril.
