COVID Task Force: 90 Percent Of Prospective Congregants In Bener Meriah Aceh Have Received The Third Dose Of Vaccine
AEH - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force for Bener Meriah Aceh Regency, Ilham Abdi stated, 90 percent of prospective hajj pilgrims from the area currently have received the third dose of vaccination as a booster.
"There are only 14 prospective Bener Meriah pilgrims who have not received the third vaccine, or 10 percent. This has not been vaccinated because the person concerned is still unable and unwell, God willing, it will be completed in the near future," said Ilham Abdi in Redelong, Bener Meriah, Between, Monday, March 7th.
Of the 144 prospective pilgrims who have registered, 130 of them have received the third dose of vaccination (booster).
Head of the Disease Control and Eradication Division of the Bener Meriah Health Office, Gazali, said that the third dose of vaccine was given to prospective Hajj pilgrims in order to follow up on the Circular of the Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
Referring to the Circular of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.02.02/III/3550/2022 regarding the implementation of examinations, health development, and vaccination for Hajj pilgrims in 2022, and based on a letter from the Aceh Provincial Health Office No.443.01/421/II /2022 dated February 9, 2022 concerning the Implementation of Hajj Health in Districts/Cities in 2022.
He said the central government together with district/city governments throughout Indonesia are currently accelerating the third dose of vaccination, including for prospective pilgrims.
"We hope that by giving the complete dose of vaccination or up to the third dose, the prospective pilgrims will be able to avoid the spread of COVID-19 while in the Holy Land until they return to the country," he said.
