Jakarta PPKM Level 2, Will PTMs Return To 100 Percent?
JAKARTA - The government has decided that DKI Jakarta will re-implement PPKM Level 2 for the next one week, from March 8 to 14, after previously being included in PPKM Level 3 since February 7 last.
When the PPKM assessment level decreases, is face-to-face learning (PTM) re-applied to 100 percent or is it still limited to 50 percent?
Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he could not answer the continuation of PTM in Jakarta. Because, said Riza, this must first be coordinated with the central government.
"If you look at Level 2, PTM can be 100 percent limited. However, we are still waiting for a policy from the central government. So, wait for the policy. So far we are still implementing PTM at 50 percent," said Riza at City Hall, Monday. , March 7th.
So far, Riza assesses that the implementation of PTM is 100 percent since the beginning of the 2022 school year, until the implementation of PTM 50 percent since February 7 is still under control, even though there are hundreds of findings of COVID-19 cases in schools.
"So far there have been cases, but the decline is quite good. So, there are no extraordinary cases. Yes, hopefully in the future we can increase PTM again," said Riza.
For information, the central government gives discretion to regional heads whose districts/cities apply PPKM Level 2 to implement PTM with a capacity of 100 percent or 50 percent.
However, not all regions need to limit PTM to 50 percent. For PPKM level 2 areas that are ready to implement Limited PTM in accordance with the Decree of the Four Ministers and the spread of COVID-19 is under control, schools in these areas can still implement Limited PTM with 100 percent student capacity.
