The Action Of Men In Situbondo Drains The Contents Of The Mosque's Charity Box Recorded By CCTV
SITUBONDO - Money from the charity box at the Baitul Muttaqin Mosque, in the Anchors Harbor area, Situbondo, East Java, was stolen by thieves. The action was caught on CCTV camera.
As a result, the mosque takmir reported the theft to the Anchor Police Headquarters.
The Anchor Police Chief, Iptu Budhiarto, said the theft took place at midnight on Saturday, March 5th.
"From the CCTV footage, it was revealed that the male perpetrator entered the mosque through the window and then drained the money in the charity box until it ran out," said the police chief, Monday, March 7.
After stealing the money from the charity box, the perpetrator fled through the window. The next day the condition of the empty charity box was known by the takmir. After checking on CCTV it turned out that the money was stolen, the takmir reported it to the Anchor Police.
"The money is planned to be used for the construction of a place for ablution. The total that was stolen reached Rp. 3 million," he said.
With the CCTV footage, the police are currently hunting for the perpetrators.
"For the next step, we will coordinate with the mosque management. In addition to conducting a crime scene investigation, we are also conducting an investigation into the perpetrators recorded on the CCTV," he said.
