Garuda Indonesia Flight Jakarta-Surabaya Route Experiences Great Turbulence, Passengers Panic Pray Until Hysterical

JAKARTA - The Garuda Indonesia flight to Soekarno Hatta Airport in Tangerang-Juanda International Airport in Surabaya experienced great turbulence. Panic ensued while the plane was still in the air.

The plane shook violently moments before landing at Juanda Airport.

"It's close, it's already mentioned preparing for landing, five more minutes until the turbulence is just very scary," said one of the passengers on the Garuda Indonesia flight to VOI.id, Monday, March 7.

The passenger said many people were praying when the incident happened. They surrender to the situation. Meanwhile, the other passengers panicked and became hysterical about the situation.

Meanwhile the pilot continued to try to stabilize the plane in the air. Five minutes the plane was driven up and down to the right and left. The pilot maneuvered through the weather which could make the plane instantly crash.

"The weather is bad, 'we are in a bad weather situation, stay calm, stay seated without panicking' that [the crew said over the loudspeaker] on the plane," he added.

However, thanks to the expertise of the pilot, the plane finally landed safely at Juanda Airport. "But the pilot is really great, how can you do it. Good!" he said.

The Garuda Indonesia plane landed at Juanda Airport shortly after arriving at 17.40 WIB. There were no fatalities or injuries in the incident. "Nothing [safe] all," said the passenger plane.
