4.470 COVID-19 Positive People In Bangka Belitung Undergo Self-isolation, This Is What The Task Force Does
PANGKALPINANG - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel) COVID-19 Handling Task Force is closely monitoring 4.470 positive COVID-19 patients who are undergoing independent isolation (isoman), to prevent the transmission and spread of the virus.
"Currently, 4.470 of the 4.635 total active COVID-19 patients are undergoing isoman which is closely monitored, so that they obey the rules and do not move outside their homes," said Secretary of the COVID-19 Task Force for the Babel Islands Province, Mikron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, as reported by Antara, Monday, March 7.
He explained that as many as 4.635 active COVID-19 patients were spread in Pangkalpinang 1.790, Bangka 833, Central Bangka 452, West Bangka 491, Belitung 632, South Bangka 250 and East Belitung 187 people.
"We involve all elements in the village government, sub-district, and neighborhood units (RT/RW) to monitor these isoman patients. Don't let them still carry out activities outside the home, such as going to markets and other public places," he said.

He said based on daily COVID-19 case data. Recently, the number of cases of people exposed to COVID-19 increased again by 321 with a cumulative 61.373 people spread across Pangkalpinang 119, Belitung 55, Bangka 41, Central Bangka 25, West Bangka 43, South Bangka 16, and East Belitung 22 people.
Likewise, patients recovered from COVID-19 also increased by 553 with a cumulative 55.228 people spread across Pangkalpinang 151, Bangka 70, Central Bangka 72, West Bangka 85, South Bangka 61, Belitung 89, and East Belitung 25 people.
Meanwhile, the number of patients who died from COVID-19 also increased by 4 with a cumulative 1.510 people spread across Central Bangka 2, Belitung 1, and East Belitung 1 person.
"From March 1 to 7 this year, 23 patients died from COVID-19, an increase compared to the previous month," he said.
