Beautiful Star Paige VanZant Depressed At UFC, Switch Profession To Professional Wrestler
JAKARTA – Former UFC star Paige VanZant has officially started a new career as a professional wrestler. This beautiful 27-year-old athlete has appeared on television several times to promote the WWE All Elite Wrestling challenger.
VanZant is currently set to be the newest star name on the list. This information has been confirmed by America's Top team manager, Dan Lambert, in AEW Rampage news, recently.
Following the announcement Lambert made, company owner Tony Khan, who also owns football club Fulham, confirmed the same news on Twitter.
I've offered 7th place in the Face of the Revolution match to the 2021 winner @ScorpioSky but instead I just traded with Dan Lambert: Scorpio Sky will challenge the winner of tonight's 3 way #AEWRampage TNT Title match on Wednesday. @Dynamite + @paigevanzant will sign with @AEW," Tony wrote.
VanZant was released by the UFC in July 2020 after losing in the first round to Amanda Ribas. After being released by the UFC, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant was immediately hired by the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship although his brief stint in promotion was not successful.
Vanzant's career in MMA was not flashy. The American hayweight and flyweight mixed martial artist suffered a landslide defeat to Britain Hart on his debut in February 2021.
In addition, he also suffered a landslide defeat to fellow UFC alumni Rachael Ostovich last July. The series of defeats made VanZant experience depression.
"When I came out of the ring I didn't try to get to my locker room, I literally walked a long way outside and cried in the parking lot alone," VanZant said.
“I said some bad things to my husband like my mental state. I told him I didn't want to live anymore. Like life isn't for me anymore so I'm disappointed. It was difficult,” he continued.
