Transjakarta Often Accidents, Anies Baswedan's Men Are Asked By DKI DPRD To Do This

JAKARTA - The Transjakarta bus accident happened again on Saturday, March 5. This time the incident occurred in Cililitan, East Jakarta, where a Transjakarta bus hit a motorcycle rider in front of the Cililitan Wholesale Center Building.

The accident case that happened to Transjakarta received the spotlight from the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Secretary of Commission B of the DKI DPRD, Pandapotan Sinaga asked Transjakarta management to carry out periodic checks so that accidents do not happen again.

"We ask the management to exercise control over the drivers every time they want to work, so they don't lose control or lose concentration," said Pandapotan, as quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 6.

In addition, the management of the DKI Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) was also asked to supervise partners or third parties who were invited to cooperate, especially those included as Transjakarta bus operators.

"The nature of cooperation with third parties, TransJakarta must really supervise the related parties, or third parties who are bus operators," he added.

President Director of Transjakarta, M Yana Aditya, said that his party made various efforts regarding safety, including a thorough health check for drivers (MCU) and health checks. Furthermore, driver coaching by the Transjakarta Master Driver and Polda Metro Jaya and a thorough inspection of the fleet.

The Jakarta City Transportation Council (DTKJ) previously recorded 508 accidents involving the DKI Jakarta BUMD transportation service company throughout 2021.
