Explain Jokowi's Warning About TNI-Polri Lecturer, Ngabalin: Now Radical Understanding Is Stage 4
JAKARTA - The Main Expert Staff of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Ali Mochtar Ngabalin explained the intention of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who warned that the TNI-Polri and their families could not arbitrarily invite speakers.
Ngabalin said Jokowi's statement was an important message. Because, according to him, currently there are many dangerous radical ideas. Ngabalin said that the term "danger level" of radicalism has now reached stage 4.
"If it is likened to cancer, then the penetration of radical ideas has entered the fourth stage. It is very critical. You can imagine if he gave a lecture on the pulpit and he compared choosing the Koran or Pancasila, that is radicalism," said Ngabalin in a virtual Crosscheck discussion, Sunday, March 6.
Ngabalin views radicalism, if it spreads in the community, it will be able to disrupt the political and social situation of the community itself.
"Radical ideas are used by extremists and terrorists. So, pulpits with religious terms are used to disrupt the political situation and the social situation of people's lives," said Ngabalin.
Previously, President Joko Widodo reminded the TNI-Polri ranks to maintain discipline. Not only that, this discipline must also be applied to the families of the officers.
This was stated by Jokowi when attending the TNI-Polri Leadership Meeting (Rapim) at the TNI Headquarters Plaza, Cilangkap, East Jakarta. One of the things that Jokowi has asked is that the wives of the TNI-Polri should not arbitrarily invite lecturers, let alone lecturers who are considered radical.
"In my opinion, the women can't call, gather other women, summon speakers at will in the name of democracy. Again, in the army, in the police you can't do that. Must be coordinated by the unit, the little things, macro and micro. Suddenly invite radical preachers, so be careful, "said Jokowi, some time ago.
Meanwhile, the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) describes five indicators that can determine whether the speaker teaches radicalism.
First, teach teachings that are anti-Pancasila and pro-transnational caliphate ideology. Second, teach takfiri ideology that disowns other parties who have different understandings or different religions.
Third, instilling an anti-leader attitude or legitimate government, with an attitude of hatred and building public distrust of the government and the state through slanderous propaganda, fighting sheep, hate speech, and spreading hoaxes.
Fourth, have an exclusive attitude towards the environment and change as well as intolerance to differences and diversity (plurality). Fifth, usually have anti-cultural or anti-religious local views.
