Disobedient Child Who Burned His Parent's House Because He Was Not Given Money In North Sumatra's Binjai Was Arrested
MEDAN - Police officers arrested a young man with the initials BL (20) who set fire to his own parents' house in South Binjai District, Binjai City, North Sumatra.
Head of the Public Relations Section of the Binjai Police, Iptu Junaidi, said the arrest of the perpetrator was based on a report by his biological mother who objected to the incident.
"Currently, the perpetrators have been detained for further investigation," he said, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 5.
Iptu Junaidi said that the arson incident occurred on Friday, March 4, the night of the perpetrator asking for some money, but the victim did not give him.
The perpetrator then threatened to burn down the victim's house if the money was not given. However, the victim ignored the threat.
Then at around 23.00 WIB, the perpetrator set fire to the victim's house when the victim was not at the location. The victim learned that his house had been burned down by a neighbor.
"So the motive was because he was annoyed that the victim was not given money," he said.
