The Perpetrator Of The Murder Of A Woman In The Greater Jakarta Central Java Rice Field Boarding House Arrested, Admits To Strangling The Victim
JAKARTA - Members of the Sawah Besar Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a male resident of Tamansari, West Jakarta, initials A (22) who killed a woman at a boarding house in the Sawah Besar area, Central Jakarta.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Sawah Besar Police, AKP Wildan, said that suspect A was arrested by officers on Jalan Mangga Besar Raya on Friday, March 4.
"Currently, the perpetrators have been detained at the Sawah Besar Police," said Wildan, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 5.
This murder case was revealed because of the discovery of a woman's body which shocked residents on Jalan Mangga Besar 13 RT007/02, Mangga Dua Selatan Village, Sawah Besar District, Central Jakarta on Friday.
Sawah Besar Police Chief Kompol Maulana Mukarom said the identity of the perpetrator was revealed only three hours after reports from residents.
Based on the autopsy results of the victim with the initials AW, there were strangulation scars and traces of semen found at the time of the crime scene (TKP). Police are still investigating the suspicion of rape after the perpetrator killed the victim.
"There were strangulation scars and it was confirmed by the perpetrator that the perpetrator strangled the victim and the victim was unconscious," said Maulana.
There was also the discovery of AW's body starting from his brother who contacted the victim, but never got connected.
The brother of AW also went to the boarding house where the victim lived and found the victim in a lifeless condition.
In the statement, it was stated that AW was found in a supine condition with his upper clothes already open, and the lower part of his body covered with a sarong.
