Gorontalo Police Detain 5 Trucks Loaded With Black Stone
GORONTALO - The Directorate of Special Investigation and Crime (Reskrimsus) of the Gorontalo Police detained five trucks loaded with black stones from Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo.
The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Gorontalo Police, Kombes Saut Panggabean Sinaga, said that the black stone truck was detained for allegedly having problems with mining permits.
"First, we received information from the public and one of the agencies regarding the destruction of the nature reserve area," he said, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 5.
After receiving the information, the Ditreskrimsus Polda Gorontalo conducted a mapping in the field, and responded to the community's complaints.
"Some people ask that the mining be stopped, because it has a negative impact on health and agriculture," he said.
Kombes Saut Panggabean Sinaga also dispatched a team and found a truck loaded with black stone mining products.
"We made an arrest, we brought five black stone trucks to the regional police, we followed up with an inspection. The truck was found while crossing Wongkaditi Timur, Gorontalo City on March 1, 2022," he said.
The black stone is planned to be sent to one area on the island of Java.
"According to the information on the island of Java, the arrests have not yet entered the port, so we don't know whether it is Surabaya or Jakarta," he said.
For initial inspection, the black stone belonged to a person with the initials CR who was planned to be sent by ship from Gorontalo Port.
"The CR only shows permits issued by local governments in 2019-2024, but mining permits are said to have been taken over by the Ministry," he said.
After inspection, the permit indicated by the mining area being worked on is in different locations. In addition, he also said, CR has not paid taxes.
