JCI Is Opened Almost Stagnant, Analysts Recommend Astra And BTN Stocks
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened in the green zone on Thursday, September 17 trading. JCI was opened almost stagnant, or only 0.03 points to the level of 5,058.51.
Opening trades, 39 stocks rose, 31 stocks fell, and 46 stocks remained stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 43.08 million shares and was transacted for IDR 44.35 billion
JCI in today's trading is expected to vary, having the opportunity to strengthen again after yesterday ending in the red zone with 0.83 percent weakening to the level of 5.058. According to PT Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (RELI) analyst, Lanjar Nafi, the JCI has the opportunity to experience a technical rebound towards the resistance target at the 5,150 level.
"Technically, there are signals that the JCI will stay above the psychological level of 5,000," said Lanjar, in his research.
He said, JCI has the potential to move varied and try to return to the positive zone, with support-resistance at the level of 5,000-5,150.
Thus, he recommended investors to collect a number of superior shares in today's trade, namely PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA), PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. (BBTN).
Meanwhile, PT Binaartha Parama Sekuritas analyst, Muhammad Nafan Aji Gusta Utama, said the JCI movement will continue the process of decline.
So far, he said, there is potential for further weakening in the JCI movement, so that the index has the opportunity to go to the nearest support level.
"JCI is trying to maintain the closest support level at 4,975, while the resistance target to be reached is at the 5097 level," Nafan said.
He further stated that the potential for weakening in the JCI rate today could be exploited by investors by accumulating the purchase of shares of PT Bank Jatim Tbk (BJTM), PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA), PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) ), and PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk (LPCK).
